Why is my recording or imported audio in the wrong pitch/key?
Imagine a movie. Because of a higher film rate, you see a smooth flow of images instead of a sequence of still images. The same goes with a sample rate in audio.
If a sound is played back in the wrong pitch, most likely it's in a non-supported sample rate. When importing audio, make sure you use only audio files with a sample rate of 44.1 kHZ. (The bitrate can be both 16 and 24 bit.) For recording audio, make sure your audio interface or computer audio settings are set to use a sample rate of 44.1 kHz.
Please also double check that your computer sound settings are set to use 44.1 khz. If your computer uses any other sample rate, the studio will automatically convert an mp3 file to the sample rate of your computer, which can be different from the one used by Soundation.
